Birties of Worcester, formerly ‘framed’, is an independent contemporary fine art gallery exhibiting paintings, pastels, original prints and sculptures.  Over four hundred original works by established and promising new artists, are displayed throughout the three floors of a fascinating 15^th century timber-framed building. 

We have always aimed to use this delightful setting to present work in an informal and relaxed manner.  The scale of the rooms and the furnishing is domestic, and the work has been chosen carefully to suit these circumstances.  The styles, sizes and scope vary: a small etching may hang beside a large, loose, water colour, a bright modern abstract alongside a traditional still life in oils.

Birties also publishes and exhibits a selection of ‘framed’ co-founder David Birtwhistle's original watercolours as reproduction prints and greetings cards.  A full range of these are on permanent display in the gallery.
